★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Even intrepid and experienced travelers like me need a guide to best experience the labyrinth of sights and pleasures Turkey has to offer. Mr. Seçkin Atalay of Pupa Travel was an absolute godsend. Our group of five was a mix of people with mobility issues and athletes, history buffs and shopaholics – a truly difficult group to plan for! Yet, Seçkin took us on with bravado, and his experience and attention to detail quickly became evident. More than anything, Seçkin became a true friend. He was always ready to answer questions, find solutions, make use of his many connections, and cater to our every need – and he was always just a text away. I have to say: without Seçkin's guidance and generous help, our trip to Turkey would not have become this most memorable, epic vacation we've ever had. Through his kindness, the Turkey we saw was not just another popular travel destination; Turkey became the home of good friends and incomparable hospitality. Seçkin often went out of his way to provide information and assistance – it never felt like talking to a business; it really was like having a friend who lives in Turkey! I am saddened to report that our plans to meet in Cappadocia (where he is based) were foiled by last minute scheduling changes. But believe me when I say we will be back in Turkey soon, if only to meet our friend and say thank you in person!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ They picked us up nearly an hour late for a day tour around Cappadocia. It was mostly a stop at various viewpoints where we might buy trinkets. There was a bagged lunch at a pottery place that we were allowed to have after sitting through their demonstration and sales pitch. The major highlight was the Gorem Open Air Museum.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We used Pupa Travel for a 4-day private tour of Istanbul, for a full day private Green tour of Cappadocia, and for multiple transfers.
Edip was our main contact point for the tip and was highly communicative, developing a great tour of Istanbul that met our needs, for example including a cooking class at our preferred cooking school, suggesting we use Mercedes sprinter van for our larger family and given the hotel we had selected, etc. The prices were very reasonably, highly competitive with other quotes we had received, and with Edip it felt like one could add more or less to meet a specific budget need.
We couldn't have asked for a better tour of Istanbul. The tour guide Lelya was amazing, bringing a mix of Turkish cutlure and historical passion, and managed to engage our 13, 15 and 16 year old boys across millennia of history and interest. She knew the best places to shop near the Grand Bazaar and at the same time made sure we didnt miss an important detail of a tile or textile at one of the museums.
The tour included a private bosphorous cruise as well as all the main sights one could imagine seeing in Instanbul in four days.
After long transatlantic flights, our driver that Edip had arranged was ready at the airport with billboards, and the standard of the vans and driver over the next 4 days was very high.
A few days later we met up again with Edip's drivers in Cappadocia, and enjoyed a very thorough private Green tour. We had specifically asked to include a Sema ceremony (whirling dervishes) and Edip was able to arrange this too. He had the best prices on the balloon tours too, so I highly recommend booking it all through Edip directly.
