U	Uzman Rehber on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Yakınında bulunan Şekerpınarın dan dolayı Şekerpınarı köprüsü de denilen Akköprü bir ortaçağ köprüsüdür. Orta çağ tabiri belli bir tarih değildir. Romalılardan Fatih Sultan Mehmet' e kadar çok geniş bir zamanı kapsar. Roma - Bizans kadar, İslam ve Selçuklular devride bu zaman içine girer ancak IX yüzyılda halife Mem' munun Binansa karşı seferinde köprünün mevcut olduğu ( K:ENER ) kaynaklarda belirtildiğinden köprü bu tarihten önce ( 833 ) yapılmıştır. XIV. Yüzyılda Karaman oğullarının bir gümrük noktası olarak kullanılan Akköprü, XIV. Yüzyılda Gülek Beline hakim Koca Mehmet Paşa zamanında da onarılmış olduğu tahmin edilmektedir. XIX. Yüzyılda ise Mısırlı İbrahim Paşa tarafından onarıldığı ( A.JANKE ) tarihsel kaynaklarından anlaşılmaktadır. Köprü kagir ve tek gözlüdür. Boyu 83 metre, genişliği 5,70 metre ve kemer açıklığı 10,35 metredir. Her iki kıyıdan orta kemere doğru yükselen meyilli bir şekli vardır. T.C. mülki idare sınırlarına göre Adana Niğde il sınırında bulunmaktadır. Akköprü, Çiftehan - Pozantı demiryolu arasında ve demiryolunun hemen doğusunda bulunmaktadır. Köprü civarı oldukça sarp dağlarla kaplıdır. Köprünün hemen kuzeyinde şeker pınarı kaynağı ve şeker pınarı turistik lokantası karayolundan dinlenme yeridir. Köprü sarımtırak renkli kesme taşlarla yapılmıştır. Köprü geçirdiği onarımlar sayesinde günümüze kadar gelebilmiştir. Köprü zaman içinde pek çok onarım geçirmiştir. Ancak her onarımda aynı temeller üzerine kurulduğu ana hatta fazla bir değişiklik yapılmadığı söylenebilir. Köprüye ilişkin elde edilen en eski belge olarak 1970 yılında çekilen fotoğraflar bulunmaktadır. Köprünün 1982 ler de hasar gördüğü, ancak bu hasarların özellikle doğu taraftaki tamponun ortaya çıktığı, köprünün kemerinde herhangi bir hasar olmadığı görülmektedir. 1984' de yapılan onarımda, Adana - Ankara yolu tarafından köprünün tampon duvarlarının yükseltilerek ve korkuluk üzerine beyaz renkte tek parça taşlar konularak müdahaleler yapıldığı, ancak 1985' de bu olumsuz müdahalelerin kaldırılarak köprüye 1900 yıllarındaki biçiminin verildiği ve taşıt trafiğine kapatılarak yaya amaçlı kullanıldığı görülmektedir. Bu son onarımlarda köprü tamponları moloz taş duvar tekniği ile çeşitli cinste ve büyüklük de taşlar kullanılarak örülmüştür. Ekim 1991 de olan taşkında köprü oldukça hasar görerek büyük bir kısmı yıkılmıştır. Yıllarca hasarlı olarak kalan Ak köprü Adana Kültür ve Tabiat varlıklarını Koruma Kurulunun 13.07.1999 gün ve 3490 sayılı kararı ile onaylanarak rölöve, retitüsyon ve restorasyon projeleri doğrultusunda 2000 ve 2001 yıllarında restore edilerek günümüzdeki halini almıştır. It is seen that during the repair made in 1984, interventions were made by raising the buffer walls of the bridge by the Adana - Ankara road and placing one piece of white stone on the railing, but in 1985 these negative interventions were removed and the bridge was given its 1900 shape and it was closed to vehicle traffic and used for pedestrian purposes. In these last repairs, the bridge buffers were built using the rubble masonry technique, using stones of various types and sizes. In the flood in October 1991, the bridge was badly damaged and most of it collapsed. The Ak Bridge, which remained damaged for years, was approved by the Adana Cultural and Natural Heritage Preservation Board with the decision of 13.07.1999 and numbered 3490, and it was restored in 2000 and 2001 in line with the survey, restitution and restoration projects and took its current form.
