Porto Bello Hotel Resort & Spa

Great location, decent food although not so much variety. Place looks amazing lounge and reception.... Rooms are a good size but bathroom is a bit small. Staff are nice when called over. Would be a five star if the staff were a bit more attentive as sometimes you feel ignored when other guests get more attention when eating.... Eg. Asking for water or drink etc. The hotel needs to keep a head count when allowing guests into the dinning area, as you could be walking around looking for a table that's empty and your food gets cold as there is no space or dirty tables which haven't been cleaned. One other point I would add is that there should allow a external doctor to visit as I had to have a consultation for a PCR test in the back of his car as they wouldn't allow him in to see me.

Great options in Buffet Restaurant. There is always refreshments available. However, the Reception staff were rather unfriendly and rushed. This may be a 5*, but it's probably because it is in a nice location, has a spa and salon etc... BUT, the rooms are definitely NOT! Very tired and in need of an update.

Fabulous hotel and location, the food was good the rooms are a bit small but clean. Unfortunately there is an issue with some of staff. There were some staff that were excellent but majority of the had an attitude and were very slow to serve. I seriously think the owner needs to have a meeting with the mangers and sort this issue as it is really letting the reputation of the hotel down, which is a shame.

Great experience here during our stay over New Year holiday. All round entertainment for adults and children were well catered for with childcare facilities available allowing parents some breath. Only the bathroom was small but staff were courteous and helpful. Will be glad to come back.

We stayed at Portobello hotel with my family for a week and it was a great and memorable stay! The hotel staff care a lot about guests satisfaction. All staff are very professional. Resort is very clean. Location is great. Beach is just behind hotel with the great access. The animation team have every night a fun and happy program for all guests. The food is good but alcoholic drinks quality is a bit low. In general, we will definitely would like to go back to portobello ☺️

When we arrived staff we're nice and approachable. Check in ran smoothly for us. Once we arrived into our room we realised that the air con was a not working, only the warm air. So had to ask reception for a fan. The safe needed opening by a member of staff before we could begin to use it, this was another phone call downstairs to reception. The hotel don't provide you with a iron or kettle, a kettle is only provided if you have baby/child from what I've been told. The hotel has a laundry service that will do your ironing, as per requested. This is a pricy charge in euros, so be warned! The food quality and standard I would rate 6/10. The staff working at the restaurant know very minimal English so was difficult at times when communicating with them. Some of them gave very generous portions, that I found got wasted. Not everyone would want such a large portion. Check out ran smoothly, and the taxi service is excellent at the hotel they arrive within seconds. We didn't use the hotel facilities, or the spa. So can't comment on this.

We had such a great week there. First, the service was impeccable. Everyone at the restaurant, reception, cleaning, animation team, were extremely friendly and helpful. The food exceeded my expectations. So many local options to try! The wellness facilities are a huge plus. We really made use of them: Pool, Sauna, hammam..(included in the standard fee). You can also get massages for an extra cost. We highly recommend this hotel!

I like to support any business but when it comes to tourism related companies, I expect more than this. We stayed 2 nights in this hotel with a huge group. There's no soundproof feature in the rooms that allows all the noise come from the bar to your room while you're trying to sleep. At least the bar wasn't open after midnight in the off-season. Location sells, that's their advantage. The rooms were clean but the food wasn't the best. Especially the dessert section was all junk. I wouldn't poison myself, nor any beloved one with all that junk food. They should either completely shut down the dessert section or employ good dessert chefs with a good budget for the ingredients. Hope to see solid improvements in the buffet soon.
