★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The ruins are very close to Adıyaman downtown. I believe if the excavations continue, this will become a major ancient city/ necropolis. More than a ruin. In fact, it is already a big site. The site is also called Perre Ruins.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had pleasant walk here, without many tourists, admiring the landscape. Bus#1, from city center, took me directly to the sight by its terminal.
Entrance is 7TL.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A combination of an ancient necropolis and quarry. Known history of the area includes the Kingdom of Commagene and the Roman period.
Many rock tombs are available for inspection as well as work areas with descriptions of processes used.
It is a very big site where only a small section is actually opened up.
Well worthwhile a stop.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's on the must list if you are on the road Nemrut. Incredibly huge ancient city from Persian to Romans. A lot of cave tombs. Don't forget sunglasses and sunscreen. If you come summer don't recommend at noon time due to extreme hot condition. You can watch an information video about the place in the museum shop while you are drinking cold-water or ice cream.
