★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Kapısı kilitliydi içerisine giremedik ama dışarıdan gayet güzel görünüyor yanındaki alan ise restore ediliyordu, dışarısında gezilecek pekte bir yeri yoktu açıkçası
 The door was locked, we couldn't go inside, but it looks very nice from the outside, and the area next to it was being restored, obviously there was not much to see outside.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful example of a Ottoman style caravanserai (fortefied Inn for caravans) with a castle and Fort next to it.
The castle was originally established by templar Knights, and in the 1500's when the region came under Ottoman control the whole complex was rebuilt from the foundations up. The complex was built near the junction where roads from Constantinople divided to continue to Iraq or south to Israel, Egypt, and to Arabia.
Today the caravanserai is used as a government office and is surprisingly lively for such a historical place. The castle, unfortunately, is closed though the nearby fortress (şeytan kalesi) is open as a small cafe. The mosque, which was visited by renowned traveller Evliya Çelebi, is open.
