When we saw it as the underground city on the maps, it was just a locked door that we came across when we went there with curiosity. After standing in front of it and taking this photo, an old aunt who came with a key in her hand stopped us, opened the door and let us tour the city. We went to the farthest points of the underground city, which is closed to visitors because it has not been fully excavated yet. Unfortunately, we saw various excavations and even a few broken items due to possible treasure quests. According to your aunt's words, when you look towards the horizon, there is a big city that extends to the point where we are when you enter through a door at the top of the hill. I hope this city, which I don't think it deserves, will one day be completely excavated and opened to visitors.

Özlüce Underground City - Nevşehir The underground city in the center of Özlüce Village, formerly known as "Zile", is 6 kilometers west of Kaymaklı Town on the Nevşehir- Derinkuyu highway. At the entrance, there are two interlocking arched spaces made of basalt. Afterwards, the main tuff rock is reached through a 15-meter-long passage built with rubble stones. The stone-built spaces that provide the entrance to the underground city are newer than the rock-carved spaces that make up the actual underground city. At the end of this corridor, there is a bolt stone made of hard granite stone with a diameter of 1.75 meters. The main space at the entrance is the largest area of ​​the underground settlement and consists of two parts. On the right of the large space there are storage warehouses and on the left there are living rooms. There are cell-type rooms on the sides of the galleries, which are quite long, and traps on the floors.

The underground city that I visited on February 21, 2022 has a very interesting structure. When you enter inside, long transitions are waiting for you and suddenly you come across arched structures :) and there is not much tilting inside like a house, this was very nice. The lighting is sufficient, but the arrow signs can be colored a little more, it feels like you are lost for a moment :) There is a bat inside :) The light was enough for vertical video shots. The entrance was closed, but if you call the neighboring houses, they come and open them, you can give your pocket money on the way out :) As the road, you turn to the Özlüce sign in the west direction from Nevşehir Kaymaklı center and proceed straight. It's not too far away, it's 6-7 km. You often come across old Greek houses in Köyiçi, stop by the Church of the Holy Apostles and the Masatlik Church :) Don't miss the monastery primary school, I say, there are plenty of trips, we went from there to the thuja underground city, from there to the villages of Taşkinpasa and Cemil, you should definitely stop by the hidden treasure there

I went to the underground city, which is very small, many parts of which are under the ground, but it was closed according to the photos and the writings I saw in the comments. There was no one, I will ask him to open it. As I always say, if the entrances of such places belong to someone, please write a number on the door. These places, which are not owned by the state, stand on their own. It is a pity that we cannot see these places when there are so many beautiful places to claim.

This is an unsigned underground structure in the village of Özlüce. The interior of the building has been cleaned and illuminated, but its function is not clear, there are not enough promotional signs. The door is generally locked, the old uncle who lives in the nearest house comes and opens the door. Of course, he expects his pocket money at the exit. I don't think it's big enough to be exaggerated and it's not a must see place.
