★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing place, a must visit whenever in cappadoccia. Up to 30 meter deep under ground, bad knee or back or claustrofobia be warn , tunnels get smaller as one goes deeper... very nice indiana jone like adventure.

Place was used by the locals as a means of survival and security from their enemies. 3 layers beneath the ground with natural ventilation and oil lanterns. Animals were kept in the first layer to fake the enemies of their presence. Well they are too low lying in the last layers, difficult to breathe as low on oxygen levels. An life time experience. 25 lira entry ticket.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ An exceptional place, I a really glad that I visited and walk on this underground city. The tunnels were small at some times and challenging to navigate so if you have knee problems you can only walk on the easy ones.
