Parsley and dill, 3 bunches of which are 1 lira in İzmir, are sold between 2.5 - 3 TL per bunch in this market. The weight of okra was 40 TL in July. 15 TL in Izmir on the same days. The difference is too big. Not only okra but all vegetables and fruits are more expensive than big cities. In the past, the prices in our coastal towns were not so exorbitant, they would sell the products they collected from their own fields at a much more affordable price. But now we feel like we are being ripped off by our villagers every Sunday shopping.
