★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Köy yerli halkı bin senelik mazisi olan bir köy yerinde hayatını sürdürmektedir. İnsancıl misafirperver ve sıcak kanlıdır. Türk ırkının bütün genlerini taşımaktadır. Toplamda 100 haneden oluşur. Bir ilkokulu ve bir camisi vardır. Halk geçimini orman ve sebze yetiştiriciliğinden sağlamaktadır. Genç nüfus çoğunluktadır. Bayramlarda halkı evlerinden köy meydanına iki gün boyunca gelen misafirler için ve komşuları için tepsilerle yemek çıkartır hep birlikte yerler. Böylece sosyalleşme sağlanır. Bayramlaşma ise geleneksel olarak en yaşlısından en gencine sırayla yapılır.
Village locals live in a village with a thousand-year history. It is humane, welcoming and warm-blooded. It carries all the genes of the Turkish race. It consists of 100 digits in total. It has a primary school and a mosque. It provides public livelihood from forest and vegetable growing. The young population is in majority. During the holidays, people eat food with trays for the guests who come to the village square from their homes for two days and for their neighbors. Thus, socialization is provided. Celebration is traditionally done in order from the oldest to the youngest.

I love Ovacik very much, it is very pleasant to drink tea in the poolside cafe, I broke a star because of the dirt and garbage of the creek, it does not suit such a beautiful place.

It is a beautiful village where you can get your drinking water. Do not return without buying village bread and eating pancakes.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Heading from bagirkanli back to the citadel of Istanbul, tired of the tall greenery along the road, stopped by ovacik at one of the coffeehouses, found some respite near a fountain with a soothing splashy sound. Had some company already there eager to talk. Tea was passable but the shade pleasantly soothing. A nice oasis would be an overstatement but a short respite stop to break the monotony...
