A must-see for photography enthusiasts is the home architecture, which is an example of the mastery of that region. It is in the minority in İbradı region and densely in Ormana district. A place like a highland on the summits of the Taurus Mountains.

Ghost town, used to be important for the Saitenstrasse. This later ran below so that this village was driven in the trade became meaningless.

Ilk kez gördūğūm bir mimari. Osmanli zamaninda tahtalar birbirlerine gecme sistemi ile birlestirilir ve yatay ve dikey tahtalarin aralarinda olusan bosluklara ihtimamla secilen taşlar ayni boy olacak sekilde dizilirmis. Goruntu distan bakinca dugmeye benzedigi icin dugmeli ev denmis. Butun civar koyler ayni mimaride yapilmis. Yeni evler ole degil tabiki. Dugmesiz ?
An architecture that I saw for the first time. In the Ottoman times, the boards were joined to each other with the interlocking system and the carefully selected stones were arranged in the same size in the gaps formed between the horizontal and vertical boards. It is called a button house because the view looks like a button when viewed from the outside. All the surrounding villages were built in the same architecture. Not new houses, of course. No button ?

Ahh those beautiful people of that village ?? everyone says welcome right away)) it's a cute town itself)) there are houses with perfect buttons that have preserved their architectural structure (there are reinforced concrete structures, of course). The meatball shop in the center of the town is wonderful)) hotels designed like a museum)) perfect for a quiet and peaceful holiday ?

It's a place to go if you're on your way, it's a hospitable village, I went especially to see it, but there wasn't much worth the journey, only a few houses remained. You should go in the summer and see the cave and waterfall there...

Mountainous regions of Antalya, specially the rural residential areas; villages of Akseki and İbradı are famous for their authentic houses called "button houses", "düğme evler" in Turkish, with a very interesting architectural style consisting of only wood and stone without use of mortar and cement. Deemed to be earthquake-resistant, the houses built for safety and need by using locally available material from Taurus Mountains have been standing intact for many centuries. The best examples of these houses preserved as intangible cultural heritage are found in Ormana Village near the town of İbradı which is about 2.5 hr drive (~170 km) from Antalya. Highly recommended to pay a visit for those who are interested in different architectural styles and culture within the natural beauty of the Taurus Mountains. Also closeby you must visit beautiful Altınbeşik Cave Natural Park accepted as the world's 3rd largest underground water cave. Should also visit nearby town of İbradı and Sarıhacılar Village on your way to Ormana.

Absolutely amazing find. The"button"houses were so very interesting and if you're lucky you could be invited into one. The construction is loose stone and wood, standing to to 300 years still. Beautiful location, clean air. Definitely worth the drive with stunning views up from the coast to Ormana.
