This Mosque is located in Bartın Ordu Yeri Mahallesi water tank street. In the old Ottoman records, the name of the Ordu place is mentioned as Fermid Karyesi. 1330 H. 1911 M. was recorded as Bartın Town Fermid Village in the archives. The name of the place of Ordu is known as the place where Fatih Sultan Mehmet established his camp when he conquered Amasra in 1461. Ordu Place Mosque was recorded as a Wooden Mosque in 1220 (Hijri) Gregorian (1805). 1805 In the wooden mosque, the entrance stairs to the mosque were in the shape of a half-moon made of stone and the mosque was entered with five or six stairs. It was written on the wall of this mosque that there was a great flood in 1287 Hijri (1870 A.D.). According to these records, we understand that the Ordu site Mosque existed in 1805. In 1954, the wooden mosque was demolished and the current mosque was built in its place. Its construction was completed in 1955. The mihrab of the mosque is covered with marble and there is a date of 1955 M. 1370 H. on the marble. The walls of the mosque are made of rubble stone and there are 29 windows with stone jambs. This mosque was built on September 1, 1954 with the help of citizens and its opening date is April 24, 1955.
