It has an authentic feel. It is a place worth seeing. In TARSUS city center .. Except for the car parking problem, it was fine.

Kerpiç, taş ve ahşaptan iki katlı olarak yapılan evlerin çok azının geçmiş yüzyıla ait olduğu biliniyor. Bugün zamana direnen evlerin büyük çoğunluğu, Cumhuriyet dönemi mimarisini yansıtıyor. Tarihi Tarsus evlerinin 300’e yakını tescillenmiş. Henüz tescil edilmemiş evlerle birlikte sayıları 600’den fazla olan evlerin, uzun kenarlarının sokağa dik ve paralel yerleştirildiği, ağırlıklı olarak alt katların işlik olarak düşünüldüğü için yüksek tutulduğu gözleniyor. Tarihi Tarsus evleri St. Paul kuyusuna komşu bir konumda yer alıyor. Sokaklarına girdiğiniz zaman kendinizi kaybediyorsunuz. Aralarına çeşitli dükkanlarda yapılmış. Kimi yenilenmiş kimi harap bir vaziyette yer alıyor. Burada konuştuğumuz bir kişi bu evlerin içerisinde 150-200 senelik olanların bile olduğunu söyledi. Sizde kendinizi kaybetmek isterseniz gelmenizi tavsiye ederim. Zaten Tarsus’un tarihi ve turistk güzellikleri karşısında hayran olup kendini kaybetmemek çok zor diye düşünüyorum. Almost all of the Tarsus houses, which remain within the old city walls and preserve their names to a large extent, reflect the social and cultural life of Tarsus in the 19th and 20th centuries, concentrated in the neighborhoods of Kızılmurat, Cami-i Nur, Sofular, Tabakhane and Şehit Kerim. If you want to see the history of flour, you must see it.

While I was visiting Tarsus today, I saw it by chance while examining the map and while we were here, we thought we should check it out. This place smells of history but it has remained a little uninteresting.. This place reminded me of the wood market in Eskisehir, but it takes a lot of work to make it like there, I hope the necessary interest and relevance will be shown as soon as possible..
