Even if the food is not very nice, they write 15.00 TL on the tiny salad. It's a shame

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fuimos a Ortahisar para visitar el castillo, y nos pillo la hora de comer. Todos los restaurantes alrededor estaban cerrados y vimos que en este sitio servían algo de comida así que entramos. No tienen menú/carta, sino que cada día cocinan 2-3 platos y sopas en plan menú del día. Pedimos el guiso de pollo con verduras patatas y bulgur con yogurt y un plato de kofte. De las mejores comidas de todo el viaje, sitio súper local y barato y además nos invitaron a té. No esperéis un restaurante lujoso, es un local más bien austero pero el dueño es un encanto y la comida está escandalosamente buena. Volveríamos.
We went to Ortahisar to visit the castle, and we caught lunch. All the restaurants around were closed and we saw that in this place they served some food so we went inside. They do not have a menu / letter, but every day they cook 2-3 dishes and soups as a menu of the day. We ordered the chicken stew with vegetables potatoes and bulgur with yogurt and a bowl of kofte. One of the best meals of the whole trip, super local and cheap place and they also invited us to tea. Do not expect a luxurious restaurant, it is a rather austere place but the owner is a charm and the food is outrageously good. We would return.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We stopped in this morning just looking for a spot to have a chai and warm up while looking for our hotel. The smell was so good we had a bowl of soup. It was great and so was the bread. Staff was very friendly and helpful even coming outside to point out the way. An extra gesture these tired travelers appreciated. Expect to be back to try some other offerings.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We went to Ortahisar to see the castle and were looking for a place to have lunch since it was kinda late. Every restaurant around was closed and we decided to enter here. The meal was extremely delicious. They don’t have a menu/a le carte, every day they cook a couple of dishes and some soups. We ate the daily dish of chicken with potatoes, some veggies and bulgur rice with yoghurt. It was one of the best meals I had on my trip. We also ate some delicious kofte. Very local place, they also invited us to chai. Would come again definitely!
