It was a mediocre visit from my point of view. It really wasn't as rich in content as I expected. Especially the interiors of the bastion were depressing. Unfortunately, due care has not been taken. It is the historical place I entered due to its name and importance.

You pay 15 TL as entrance fee. You should definitely visit and see the bastions. The municipality and related institutions should show some interest. It is a very important place for our country, but it is neglected. Navigation shows shorter route but road is closed.

There are sights that fascinate people with its mysteries, it's a different strange place in the past, it has a different atmosphere that takes people to another world, it's a must-see place. It was built by Sultan Abdulaziz at the eastern exit of Erzurum against the Muscovite (Russian) occupation, but it was never used. No one took the trouble to find this place. There is neither information nor lighting inside the bastions, it is completely dark. It is a very important place for Erzurum, even if a little attention and care is shown. I really can't say anything other than sorry. A fee of 15 TL is charged. Even state museums are 12,5tl and museum card is valid. You understand what you pay for when you go inside and see the lighting, how they are protected, how they are displayed, and the staff working in it. This place gets airfare.

It is said that there are 22 big and small bastions in this area, but the most important ones are the Aziziye and Mecidiye bastions. These bastions prevented the fall of Erzurum in the 93 War. It has a sad atmosphere. It should be visited when you come to Erzurum.
