Şehrin güney tarafından girişindeki yamaçta bulunan mescidin kitabesi, içindeki türbe kısmı ile ilgilidir. Kitabede, H.980 (M.1572) tarihinde Ahmet Yunus adlı bir zatın yaptırdığı belirtilmektedir. Mescidin de aynı veya yakın bir tarihte yapıldığı tahmin edilmektedir. ‘L’ planlı yapının yarısı mescit, yarısı da türbe olarak düzenlenmiştir. Dikdörtgen planlı mescit bölümü, ortasında sivri kemerle desteklenmiş ve beşik tonozla örtülmüştür.
Memi Dede Masjid in Bitlis
The inscription of the masjid on the hillside on the south side of the city is related to the tomb in it. The inscription states that a man named Ahmet Yunus was built on H.980 (M.1572). It is estimated that the mosque was built on the same or recently. Half of the iştir L düzenlen planned building is composed of a small mosque and half a tomb. The rectangular masjid section was supported by a pointed arch in the middle and covered by a barrel vault.
