A long, winding drive up, followed by a short climb (beware of snow & ice!) You are rewarded to see the very first garden gnomes ;) I will definitely go back when it's warmer.

One of most magical places in Turkey. Absolutely must see on your bucket list!

A truly impressive site (although, sadly, Arsameia was closed during my visit), combining amazing history, construction effort and just the greatest views. I hired a local guide from Karadut but really only got a driver, who spoke little English and offered no information. Luckily, that didn't ruin the experience but, given the choice again, I would take a tour from Urfa.

Must see. Murat_nemrut_turları thanks for the guidance. The perfect way to see everything and visit all things in a luxury touring car with all needed thing on board. Once up on Nemrut be ready to be mesmerized by the ancient statues and the sunrise or the sunset .... depending on your time of arrival. You will fall in love!

Avsolutely fantastic place in the sunrise. The view is spectacular and the statues are big and impressive. Landscape is beautiful but its a long way to walk uphill

Stunning, despite it really being quite a small site. It's setting high in the mountains is glorious, and it seems most people go to see the sunset. The eastern terrace statuary has been tidied a bit so the heads sit in front of their bodies, and on the western side they're in more disarray. Both look amazing.
