The entrance fee is 12 TL which is a great deal for a well maintained trail up to the main part of the everburning flames. The second part of the trail up to the highest flames and almost the peak is a little more exposed and rougher but still in a pretty good shape. Besides the fires the views over the valley and the sea are absolutely beautiful on a clear day. If you're considering to go all the way up to Mount Chimeara, which I highly recommend, take a water with you, use sun screen and maybe start the trail when it's less hot as there are some parts where you'll be exposed to the sun.

It is best to start climbing the mountain before sunset, you will have to walk 1 km. The road is difficult, so stock up on flashlights. At the top of the mountain, there is a stunning view of many lights. The sight is extraordinary, even mystical. we took sausages with us, fried them on the fire, it turned out divinely delicious!

A lot more impressive than I expected. We hiked at dusk over the hill from Zumrut hotel (a very bad path), saw the flames from above, came down to the flames after sunset (there's lots of them) and continued down to the village with flashlights following those million stairs leading to the ticket office.

It’s a very nice place where you will walk for 1k km to reach the top of the mountain to see the incredible place where the fire ? get out from the hill, according to the history it’s since 2500y ago which will never turned off. Nice place to visit, it rained while we there, rain coat is enough. Non slippery shoe is recommended.

This place was amazing! Be sure to pack yourselves some marshmallows and sticks! We hiked up to the top flames and had it almost to ourselves. Our boys are 7 & 10 and it was an easy hike for them. We arrived at 5 pm and were able to be at the top for sunset at 5:40 without staining ourselves. Not too often can you find a hike that includes ancient ruins, mythology, sunset and Vistas, enough incline to get your blood pumping, and fire and sweets as a prize at the end! This might be our favorite hike ever!

Great place to visit especially in the evening when it's dark as the fires show up so well. Take a torch and some marshmallows. It costs just 12 lira and there is parking at the entrance. There are toilets by the car park. The path is quite steep, I think about 750 metres uphill. There are about 15 various fires at the top all burning from natural gas escaping between the rocks, its amazing to think theses fires have been burning for thousands of years. Well worth a visit.

Nice place to visit especially in the evening it's dark and the fires are very visible. Take a flashlight as it gets very dark and the path can be tricky. The cost to enter is 12 lira and there is parking at the entrance. There are toilets. The walkway is step and a good 20 minute hike uphill, quite steep. 3btraveller

An easy hike to see the fire. About 1km and the trail is clearly marked. Cost was about 15Tl and parking was available and free. I read after that its estimated the flames have been burning for at least 2,500 years. A great stop and such an amazing place to see!
