Midyat’in Yemişli (Anhel) Köyünde yer alan kilise temel plani bakimindan Turabdin’deki çogu köy kilisesiyle benzeşmesinin yaninda bünyesinde bazi degerli eserler barindirir. Kilisenin narteksi önüne,doguda küçük bir beth slutho’yla son bulan, revakli bir geçit eklidir. Sicak yaz günleri rahatça dua edebilmek için düşünülmüş bu yapinin ön cephesi başlikli payeler üzerine bindirilmiş at nali biçimi bir kemer vurgular. Orta Çag’dan kalma bir azizname Kiliseyi 734 yilinda vefat eden zeytin agaçlarinin banisi (zeytinci) Mor Şemun’a atfetmektedir.
In addition to its resemblance to most village churches in Turabdin in terms of the church basic plan in Yemişli (Anhel) Village of Midyat, it contains some valuable works. In front of the church's narthex is a portico, which ends with a small beth slutho in the east. The front facade of this building, which is thought to be able to pray comfortably on hot summer days, emphasizes a horseshoe-shaped arch superimposed on the piers. A saint from the Middle Ages attributes the Church to Mor Şemun, the banister (olive) of the olive trees that died in 734. One of the rare examples of painted wooden carved altars from the 18th century is in Mor Kuryakos Church. It is believed that wooden altars set an example for stone altars that became widespread later. In Yemişli (Anhel), there are also Mor Kuryakos and Mor Eşayo Churches, as well as six other chapels dedicated to Mary, Saint Petrus and Paul, Eliyo, Şmuni, Gevergis and Zeytinci Şemun.
