Mimari ve fiziki özellikleri açısından oldukça farklı. Görülmeli...
It is quite different in terms of architectural and physical features. Must see...

- The history of Midyat town reaches 3 thousand years BC, and its early inhabitants lived in houses carved in caves. As in the whole region, so in the Midyat in history, many ruling nations have passed: Assyrians, Medes, Persians, Macedonians, Romans, Ottomans and Turks. Christianity emerged very early in the region, the traces of which are visible in Midyat until today. Syrians from Midyat as early as in 38 hey rejected pagan beliefs for Christianity. Midyat is a show of religious tolerance, a place where belfries and towers of Christian churches stand alongside the soaring minarets of Islamic mosques. Midyat in its history was an important center of the Syrian branch of the Orthodox Church. The Syrian church Mor Barsavmo, originally built in the 4th century, was rebuilt according to original plans in 1910.

Parish Church of the Syrian Orthodox Church. When open, you are free to enter. There is a school for children on the territory of the church. Hospitable holders. It is interesting to see the curtains near the altar.

Midyata uğrarsanız temelleri 4.asıra dayanan bu güzel kiliseye uğrayın derim. Pandemi koşulları nedeniyle kilisenin içerisine girmenize izin verilmeyebilinir. Ama yinede bahçesine gidip gözlemlemenizi öneririm.
If you stop by Midyat, I would say stop by this beautiful church, the foundations of which date back to the 4th century. You may not be allowed to enter the church due to pandemic conditions. But I still recommend you to go to the garden and observe.

İbadet alanı ziyarete kapalı. Yalnızca avlu ve teras kısmı ziyaret edilebiliyor.
The worship area is closed to visitors. Only the courtyard and terrace can be visited.
