Mezgit Restaurant

We had dinner here last night. Fantastic place. You start by selecting your fish from the case and then your side salads. We had the Sea Bream which was prepared perfectly. The sides were also perfect down to the honeyed figs with pistachios and mascarpone we had for dessert. Fantastic meal!

After being delayed on our flight we arrived at our nearby hotel at 11pm. This was the place recommended by our hotel and we are so glad we went. The staff were absolutely fine with us going that Kate. We had 6 delicious cold mezze, fresh seabass, lamb shish .. but the best dish was the octopus - freshly grilled in butter and garlic. It was extraordinary! Also a standout were the pickled anchovy/sardine cold mezze dish - nothing like back home even by the coast!! Alongside a beer and g&t. Bill came to about £40. Will definitely go back before we leave! Edit: we went a second time and it was just as good. This time we had bream and prawns instead of bass and it was deeelish.

The best service and best food! The fish was delicious and the service was excellent. The location is easy to access not the best view. The amount paid is affordable for the treatment you get!

CAUTION! I HAVE VERY BAD EXPERIENCE WITH MY FAMILY AT THIS PLACE. The staff was very rude and the food was very bad, so I don't totally understand the reviews here, but probably you can buy reviews in Turkey. Please give the store a wide berth. The only good thing about it is the location of the store and that's it.

The food was tasty. Service can improve by being a bit more polite, while choosing fish from the daily catch a had to ask the waiter a few times for a explanation about the fish on display he was rude. We had the John Dory grilled fish which was delicious and strange looking.

Mezes were delicious. Service was good. Prices are moderate. Good location, musics were good.

When you are visiting a tourist place it always difficult to find out which place will be the best to eat especially after driving for many hours to this destination. You look forward to authentic local cuisine especially when you love local food. Without looking through web we saw lot of tables taken at this restaurant early in the evening whereas rest of the restaurants were empty. We took a punt to try this place. It proved to be the best experience so far. This is how In older days one used to select dining places when google & other supporting apps were not even born. Again you should try the appetisers more and order main course less. Too many things to try and one can fall in love. Looks like seafood is the main focus and as it is sea side town one should give it a shot even if you are not a seafood fan.. shrimps in olive oil and snapper in fried form were the best. Calamari was too chewy.
