★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Kapısının kapalı olduğuna bakmayın .video salgın döneminde camilerin kapalı olduğu zamana denk geldi
Don't look at the door being closed. The video coincided with the time when mosques were closed during the epidemic.

One of the mosques, which is located in the heart of the covered markets, is a beautiful mosque in which there is calm and psychological comfort from the fatigue of wandering in the markets. It has a garden, trees and seats to sit.

The Meydan Cami Mosque was built in the 16th century in the Meydan district of Antakya on the Grain Square. The building got this name because it is located on the granary square. It has two doors. The east gate opens towards the bazaar and the west gate opens towards the public bath. There is a bench on either side of the entrance door to the bazaar. The minaret portal, which enters the L-shaped courtyard from the east, is covered with a pointed arch.
There are four windows to the west and east of the Harim's entrance and one mihrabiye to the east. The part of the sanctuary entered through a low-vaulted double door is supported by eight pointed arches resting on three to six columns placed between the pilasters to the east and west.
The mosque has three inscriptions. According to the inscription on the front door, the date of construction of the mosque is 1303. From the inscriptions we learn that in 1878 the mosque underwent repairs. Some parts were last repaired in 2004.
We visited the mosque on August 27th, 2021 and described it in the "Travel Report Antiochia am Orontes / Hatay Part 88", with photos and described it as recommendable.
