So lets be honest, this is the main reason if you are traveling to Konya and its definitely worth one, especially if you are fan of Rumi. Simply beautiful place, in the morning less crowded than afternoon. There is a shop as part of museum but as magnets and some other souvenirs are ok books are overpriced, if you want to buy Masnavi just go to Mevlana foundation, it's next to the exit closer to museum shop, can't miss it and it's also nice place to visit...
T	Tahir Chohan on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Centre of spirituality!! Calm and quiet environment all around!! Extremely well and beautifully designed tomb of Mevlana with exceptional calligraphy!! The whole Mosque is beautifully designed and masterpiece of Muslim calligraphy!! Besides the tombs of Mevlana and companion there are his belonging on display including the Holy Quran he used to recite, his and his father's coat etc. Opposite to the tombs there is museum with several antique items from his era are on display in multiple rooms!!! Surrounding the Mosque and mousoleum are beautiful gardens and open space with iconic Konya monument opposite to which are restaurants, souvenir shops and hotels!! Konya is a must visit place in Turkey!!!

The audio guide is 30 TL, but unfortunately the material is not well chosen (at least in English). The most interesting entry was under number 50 (about dervish rules and practices).

You would see and amazed with culture of Sufi and Islam. You will have a chance to see different size of really old Quran’s which is book of Islam..

If you are visiting Konya, you are unlikely to escape without spending an hour or two here. Best time to is early morning before the rush sets in so that you can take a close look in peace.
