Mesudiye Medresesi, Artuklu Beyliği tarafından 1198-1223 yılları arasında yaptırılmıştır.Medresenin yapımı 1198'de Artuklu Meliki Ebu Muzaffer Sökmen döneminde başlayıp 1123'te Melik Mesud lakaplı Mevdud zamanında tamamlanırken medresenin planı Halepli Usta Cafer Bin Mahmud tarafından yapılmıştır.Medresenin kitabesine göre medresede fıkıh, tıp, fizik, matematik, biyoloji, kimya, edebiyat ve felsefe gibi dersler okutulmuştur.
 Mesudiye Madrasa is a historical madrasah located in the Sur district of Diyarbakır.
The Mesudiye Madrasa was built by the Artuklu Principality between 1198 and 1223.The construction of the madrasa started in 1198 during the reign of Artuklu Meliki Ebu Muzaffer Sökmen and was completed in 1123 during the reign of Melik Mesud, while the madrasa was planned by the Master Cafer Bin Mahmud from Aleppo. Courses such as medicine, physics, mathematics, biology, chemistry, literature and philosophy were taught.

Doğu-batı yönünde inşa edilmiş olan dikdörtgen planlı medrese, açık avlulu, tek eyvanlı ve iki katlıdır. Medresenin beden duvarından dışa taşan giriş bölümü, kuzey cephenin doğu kanadında yer alır. Geniş kemerli ve sivri beşik tonozla örtülmüş giriş bölümünden avluya ulaşılır. Kapı kemeri üzerinde bir kitâbe levhası bulunur.
Etraftaki tespihcilerden sakin ola 25-30 tl üzerinde para vererek tespih almayın. Ayrıca buraya yakın bir de güneş saati var gormeden geçmeyin.
It is located in Sur District of Diyarbakir and north-east of the courtyard of the Ulu Mosque.
It has a rectangular planned madrasah built in east-west direction and has an open courtyard, one iwan and two floors. The entrance section of the madrasah overflowing from the body wall is located in the east wing of the northern facade. The courtyard is accessed from the entrance, which is covered with a wide arch and pointed barrel vault. There is a plate on the door arch.
Do not take the rosary by giving money over 25-30 tl, which is calm from the surrounding rosary. Also don't go here without seeing a sundial nearby.

Bezeme ve kitabeleriyle ok değerli bir sanat eseri olan medresenin avlusundaki mihrabın iki yanına yerleştirilmiş döner taş sütunlar binada meydana gelecek çökmeyi tespit için konulmuştur. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Uygun kıyafetlerle girilmiyormuş muş sanki insanlar orada ibadet etmeye geliyor. Görmeye gelip çıkıyorlar takılmayın bu kadar.
Güzeldi ama yıkmayın şu yerleri artık yeter
People come to pray there, as if they are not entering with appropriate clothes. They come and go to see, don't get hung up on that.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Kubbesi açık ve Ulu Caminin bahçesinde dönen taşlarıyla meşur. Tarihi yapısının yanında fotojenik de bir yapı. Doğu tarafına denk geliyor. Giriş tarafı ve içindeki kütüphaneyi de fotoğrafladım.
It is famous with its open dome and its stones rotating in the garden of the Ulu Mosque. Besides its historical structure, it is also a photogenic building. It's on the east side. I also photographed the entrance side and the library inside.
