I remember the days when it was a SSK hospital. It had become the Training and Research Hospital of the late, and it was a good hospital. Then it was closed and reopened as the State Hospital. When it was a Training and Research Hospital, it was a successful hospital, we were very happy with the Oncology service, but unfortunately it fell victim to the City Hospital. Now it continues to serve as a State Hospital, although not as much as before. It is a hospital that I like because it is in a central location and has a neat layout.

Meram State Hospital, It was put into service as SSK Dispensary in 1954 in Eski Wheat Market. On 22.07.1967, Meram moved to its newly built 225-bed building on Yeni Yolu and became SSK Konya Service Hospital. In 1978, a polyclinic building was built in the same area, and polyclinic services were separated from the hospital building. It underwent its first serious renovation in 1994, the operating room, laundry, kitchen, elevators, generators were renewed, and it was increased to 319 beds with new bed additions. While it was SSK Konya Service Hospital until 29.09.1995, it was renamed SSK Konya Regional Hospital after this date. In 1997, the construction of a 400-bed hospital and a new polyclinic was started with the slogan of the 800-bed Konya SSK Training and Research Hospital. It received TS-EN-ISO 9002 Quality Assurance System Certificate on 26.03.2002. Quality Management System Certificate was obtained by transitioning to TS EN ISO 9001:2000 version on 03.07.2003. The construction of the New Hospital and the polyclinic building was completed on 15.03.2004 and it was put into service. On 30.03.2004, SSK Organized Maternity Hospital and Children's Hospital were moved to our hospital and merged with our hospital. On 19.02.2005, the name of our hospital, which was transferred to the Ministry of Health along with other SSK Hospitals, was changed to Konya Meram State Hospital. On 13.03.2005, the construction of an additional polyclinic building of 2,500 m² was completed, and the number of polyclinics was increased from 29 to 74. With the decision of the Council of Ministers dated 26.12.2005, our hospital was transformed into a training and research hospital and took the name Konya Training and Research Hospital. Together with Beyhekim Psychiatry Clinic and Zafer Neighborhood Polyclinic affiliated to our hospital, we continue to serve our people with a total of 1040 patient beds and approximately 2500 employees.
