Mekmar has always been highly professional and their product quality outstanding. We supply high-end projects in the Caribbean, with demanding designs and clients plus challenging freight issues. Mekmar and Gizem have always delivered on time and outstanding products. Gizem is currently rushing an order for pool tiles for the top rated resort in the islands and we feel confident the product and service will match our client's expectations.

We bought marble tiles, mosaics for the kitchen, and sinks from Mekmar for our family house last year. At first, we hesitated because we have never done an export before but the prices were better and Mekmar Team was very helpful in every stage. They guide us from beginning to end, answer every question not only about products but the export process too and even send the products to our house address!! We are very glad to work with them and the result was lovely too.

Mekmar provided excellent customer service. Gizem is very considerate and works hard to meet client expectations. I felt my tiny order of four tons, received as much care and attention as any other. There were some mistakes with my order, but Mekmar went beyond my reasonable expectations to rectify the situation. They worked very hard to ensure that I received the marble I was looking for and my order was completed to my satisfaction.

This is an extraordinary company. Our experience with Mekmar Co. and its representative, Ozlem, has been outstanding. We found this company through Stonecontact and we could not have made a better choice. We ordered a little bit over 12 tons of white marble, cut to different sizes and we got the pieces 2 days ago. 10 huge crates delivered in front of the house, all pieces intact, beautiful product, just as described. From the time we ordered the the product till it arrived at our door, the communication with Ozlem has been perfect, She kept us updated at every moment, sent us photos of the pieces throughout the process and we cannot thank her enough.

BUYERS BEWARE!!! We ordered $5000 worth of granite countertops for a kitchen, large marble tiles for bathrooms and travertine tiles from Mekmar. Overall, this order was an absolute disaster. In the beginning the communication was great and it seemed like customer service would be good with prompt delivery of a quality product. Unfortunately, we were completely wrong. The stone was nice but, the first order arrived with the granite countertops cracked, marble tiles were chipped on the edges or cracked and half of the travertine was broken and mismatched (half polished, half honed). In addition to this one of the countertops was a different thickness then we ordered. We immediately reported this to the company and they blamed all of this on the shipping company but ignored the fact that the stone was absolutely inadequately packaged with no padding to make sure it did not move in the crates as well as no reinforcement of the countertops. After some negotiation they agreed to send the counters again and send replacement marble tiles along with half of the travertine which was sent with the wrong finish. We were told that they would use a different shipping company so the shipment would arrive in better condition. We provided specific instructions on how the granite should be reinforced from the bottom to prevent cracks and how to pack it so it wouldn't be damaged. Once the second shipment arrived we were even more shocked than with the first one. The crate looked more like a destroyed matchbox and was absolutely inadequately built to hold 800kg’s of stone. Of course, the granite was not reinforced or packaged like we specified and it had cracked again. The marble tiles were chipped in several places, although at least they did not crack this time. But the travertine had a different finish yet again. We again informed the company that the shipment was damaged and demanded a refund of $750 to cover the cost of the broken countertops since this was now 2/2 times that the order was damaged and we still did not get the countertops. This amount was already reduced and was very fair since we had dealt with nothing but damaged goods, delays, and excuses from the company. We were told that we would not get any refund because ‘’they have already spent too much money’’ on the order, as if the fact that they were incapable of adequate packaging/quality control, shipping and delivering a product was supposed to be our problem. We also discovered that the company had insured the shipment but they insured it so they would be getting the insurance payout in case the shipment was damaged. In summary, not only is this company and its workers absolutely incompetent with terrible customer service and business practices, but they are also complete crooks. If you pay them, expect to get damaged low quality products with terrible packaging which guarantee the product will break and if you want a refund they will refuse to refund you so you are left with broken products and no money. If you’re looking for stone, I recommend buying elsewhere from a better company which cares about customers.

We have found this company through StoneContact, Gizem responded our inquiry with diligence. We asked so many questions to her as we want to be sure about the color, quality and texture of the stone we will buy and how it will match our furniture and design. She informed us step by step about the details, and the things we need to be careful. She also helped us to arrange the delivery so the process went as smoothly as we could hope. We received the tiles just a week ago and of course there are some variances as it is expected from the stone, we really glad to work with Mekmar and Gizem and we strongly recommend!
