Mehmet Paşa Cami

In 1486 II. It was built by Mehmet Pasha, the tulip of Prince Ahmet, son of Bayezid. The main place of worship of the inverted T-shaped mosque is square shaped and its high ceiling is covered with an octagonal drum dome. On the north facade of the mosque, there is a final congregation place divided into six sections by seven octagonal columns. Each section is covered with a dome. The columns are connected to each other by marble arches in red and white. The entrance to the mosque is through the arc-arched door in the third section from the left and on which the mosque's construction inscription is located. The entrance door is shaped like a deep niche. The door of the mosque, one of the most beautiful examples of wood carving, is on display at the Amasya Museum. Similarly, the marble pulpit of the mosque decorated with lively branch and leaf motifs is one of the rare examples of Turkish marble workmanship.

It is one of the most important examples of inverted T planned mosques. It is not visited much, but I think it should definitely be visited. It has a very beautiful architecture. The kundekari art on its doors is beautiful.
