 This is the nene hatun mosque, which was built on the site of the old fire department in Ankara nation, the top floor is a mosque as it seems, but there is both a bazaar and an abdetshane downstairs. Also, you can find many brands in the bazaar, or they can provide you with brand new spot products. time will tell if it will be like the metro bazaar in time

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I am not Muslim, but I got curious and wanted to see this beautiful Mosque from the inside, and how others PRAY for real. BEAUTIFUL!!! The fragrance of roses and mint inside transmit a clean and lite feeling. The wonderful high arches and gold arabesques and dizzying domes make you rapture involuntarily. You take off the shoes, and gentle sweet folk will show you what to do to join the fun of praying in a crowd. The Imam begins a beautiful chant. Your feet and knees sink deep into the sterile rich carpets as you feel cosey beside pretty people who are earnestly praying to everybody's God. I was not greeted by Terrorists. I was kissed on both cheeks. God listens to us all, everywhere. And afterwards, the men engaged my punk style in jolly conversation. Interestingly, the Mosque doesn't echo like a Cathedral, - the deep carpets swallow all sound and give a comforting feeling as you look upward. Special experience. Never frown on friendly people's prayers, because God decides.
