the best hotel ever not only in Mardin but in Turkey, nice location and nice historical building, the service, breakfast, cleanliness, internet, all are excellent, highly recommended

We showed up at 9PM with no reservations and were already impressed just walking through the lobby doors. Luckily they had a room available, we asked to see, and were blown away. We planned on staying two nights, but spent five days in the first floor of the 670-year-old stone mansion. Walls three feet thick, multiple terraces with sweeping views, and the breakfast is by far the best hotel breakfast I’ve ever had. But the staff, they were incredible, particularly Furkan who studied English and saw himself personally responsible to ensure tourists had a good time. No joke, he was available 24 hours a day, always ready with a tea and asking what we needed. Our last night happened to be the American holiday of Thanksgiving, so we prepared a quick meal and invited Furkan to join us, not as a hotel employee but as our friend. I’ve made many trips to 55 countries for fun, and professionally I’m a constant hotel dweller. I found Maristan Tarihi Konak to be absolutely superb, and easily my favorite place yet.

The hotel is perfect in all aspects, the rooms are spacious and it is in close proximity to the various sites one might want to visit. Apart from the great views this place provides, the hotel staff are very helpful, ferhat guided us all the way to the hotel and Furqan was lively tour guide and helped us navigate Mardin. Thank you.

This boutique hotel is absolutely stunning! I stayed here one week and really enjoyed my stay. The staff is welcoming and friendly, the hotel is clean and has a great view. Breakfast was also delicious with local products. I cannot wait to go back to Mardin and visit again!

Hospitality was excellent. They helped a lot to find hotel cause there was no road to front of the hotel due to old town city. They also carried our baggages up to hotel . Complimentary tea and water offered during the our stay. Also guide to city tour and made reservation best restaurant to see sightseeing Mardin. Absolutely they know how to hotel business. We stayed in the suite room at the Maristan Tarihi Konak Oct 9-11. It comes with its own private terrace with 2 separate seating areas. Pure luxury. The building itself is a 700 year old mansion and is extremely beautiful. The staff is also incredible, especially Saban (pronounced Shaban) who is warm and welcoming. Mardin is a magical place and the Maristan adds to the charm

It is very difficult to convey how amazing the experience was staying at this hotel. The hotel building is a 700 year old mansion. The room was basic but beautiful. Our room came with a terrace with a view of the Mesopotamian plains. The hotel itself has a rooftop with a beautiful view of Mardin and the plains. They are very prompt with communicating over Whatsapp. They arranged a very reasonably-priced taxi to/from airport. They also arranged the same taxi for a day’s outing to Mor Gabriel, Mor Hanayo, Midyat, and Nusaybin. The breakfast is also excellent - quite a royal spread with local cheeses, honey, jams, fresh breads, eggs, and tea. There is a family of cats that reside on the premises, and their behavior just added to the experience!
