★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Agreed to to purchase a 6HP Suzuki Outboard engine (which was advertised on Sahibinden.com) and sent payment. Payment was requested to be sent to East Marine. 10 minutes after payment was sent, received a call from Erkan stating that an additional 250 TL was needed as he miscalculated the $/TRY exchange rate. I stated to please cancel order and refund payment. On Friday he said that the refund would be issued that day. As Monday arrived, contacted East Marine accounting department and they stated that they still needed Erkan to call them in order to refund payment ( Per Erkan, that was done on Friday). Only after contacting the CEO of East Marine and receiving a call from the General Manager of East Marine was finally able to to receive refund. I still cannot figure out the relationship of Marine Shop & East Marine. Was told that previously, Erkan was an official dealer, but is not now. But apparently, there is some sort of relationship that they receive payments and he issues invoice in their name????
