★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I wanted to book a room in this hotel, but as the trip was spontaneous, the day before arrival there were no rooms for entire holidays on bookings.com. We checked into another hotel where we did not like it. Decided to try and improve my holiday by visiting the Beach club in MO. I sent an email asking to book the beach club, but the hotel refused citing high occupancy, although there were plenty of rooms available on the websites for the dates I had requested. I mentioned it in follow up letter and get a reply from assistant recreation manager, that now it is due to Covid reasons.
I've been here last year in beach club, when hotel was fully booked without any such issues. Deep disappointment

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing hotel!
The greenest and unique vertical planning of the whole hotel! The rooms are huge even for people who travel a lot to high class hotels! We were upgraded as MO Fans from a sea view room to a huge apartment with its own pool and garden! The whole staff was at an incredible level - especially our ambassador - Arslan, who was on the line even on weekends and late in the evening. The spa and fitness at a very high level! The steakhouse restaurant and the Japanese restaurant - at a very high level too. Just one remark about the staff and their attitude in one of their newly opened restaurants and bar, for which the General Manager of the hotel personally reacted and undertook to remove it, for which I thank him personally.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My demographic: 30yrs old, SoCal raised gentleman traveling through Turkey with a friend. Enjoy both outdoorsy rugged experiences to luxurious retreats.
Overall a fantastic hotel. It was our first time in Bodrum and I can’t imagine a better hotel with such attentive service. Our ambassador Furkan, the staff members Serkan and Cem at Hakkasan, the gentlemen that provided a Turkish shave for me at the spa and the translator (I forgot their names!), and the rest of the team were phenomenal. Overall, I would highly recommend this resort.
Highlights:
- Very nice check-in experience
- Large beautifully manicured planned property
- Great sized quality rooms with high ceilings, lots of open air space, and large patio
- Great breakfast selection
- Location is prime, catered to clientele that want isolation and tranquility
- Beach water temperature in September was divine
- Amazing staff in the hotel, restaurants, and spa
Areas of improvement or considerations:
- Our sea view room (#101) was more of a peek-a-boo sea view. I was a bit disappointed and I should have said something to request a different room, but I didn’t. Still beautiful, but was expecting a better sea view.
- My friends manicure (paint and gel) was ~$150 USD after tip (no pedicure). They didn’t have capabilities/tools to do the manicure she actually wanted, so she opted for the basic one (short nail). Honestly the price was a bit ridiculous. I laughed when I saw the result and compared it to the price tag.
- For those that are used to sandy beaches with only sand in the beach water, don’t expect sand. When you’re walking in the water, there are rocks about 2-5in diameter until you’re far out enough to just tread water. This is just FYI, not a big deal, but the hotel could consider clearing the large rocks past the “man-made trench” that drops off about 12ft beyond the shoreline. You should see the video of me attempting to walk majestically through the Aegean coastline into the water.. I looked like a newly birthed giraffe learning how to walk.
This is a resort everyone should consider. Our 3-night stay felt like a 3-night spa retreat, and we loved every bit of it. Don’t stay quiet like I did.. speak up for any inquiry and request, the staff will generously do their best accommodate. Enjoy your luxurious stay and we hope everyone enjoys as much as we did!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Positives - the location is fantastic, the rooms are awesome, service is generally very good. The resort facilities are shared between hotel guests and residences so I could see it getting busy in high season. The resort is good for kids and the gym is also top-notch
Negatives - the outdoor pools are NOT heated or the heating is broken. If you have kids, bring wetsuits [seriously]. A number of restaurants and shops are closed [Hakkasan, Chanel]. Suggest renting a car or taking a taxi to see life in Bodrum [25 minute drive from resort] as 200 Euro+ meals get a bit old. There is very little actual beach in this part of the world so the MO beach is ok given the terrain.
Net would stay again but plan a bit better

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Mandarin resort grounds and the beautiful paradise bay is magical. Service and food is top notch. The activities and spa services available are really really nice. We loved how embedded in nature the suites were. The finish inside the suites was also spectacular. The buggy service was quite well (with the exception of 2 cases where it took very long to get a buggy). The three primary reasons for not giving a 10 are:
1) During breakfast and at the beach, there were far too many unruly kids around. We don't have any problem with children being in the same resort, it's just that the families with screaming children and Mandarin's serene environment don't mesh well together. Mandarin Resort is designed to be one magical beautiful calming spa and it is difficult to relax when there are kids in scooters whizzing around during breakfast or a child with wet diaper walking right next to our tanning beds while we are at the beach.
2) Overall food service was quite good. The cocktail and alcohol service on the other hand was quite slow and limited. There were quite a few times where a cocktail order took 30+ minutes to arrive which is longer than expected.
3) Being charged for water at the beach and in the rooms felt a bit cheap. It's not so much about the money but it doesn't fit the Mandarin luxury flow.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Exceptional “off-season” visit to the MO Bodrum. From our arrival to departure, the service was exceptional. Our arrival team, restaurant staff, housekeeping, concierge… everyone was knowledgeable, responsive, and always willing to assist… often anticipating our needs even before we ask for assistance. In particular our Guest Ambassador, Reyhan Mengenli, was particularly helpful… making our week feel especially personalized and and thoughtful. Her efforts to ensure we enjoyed our stay were incredibly individualized and showed us how committed she was to exceeding our expectations at every turn… all the way to the last few moments of our stay. We will certainly make our way back to this property to enjoy many of the hotel amenities that were closed for the season… which also made it more difficult for staff to run food and beverage to various parts of the expansive property. Overall a wonderful first visit… Thankyou!
