The building in which Mamak Cultural Center is located was built in 1938 for the Music Teachers School. Its architect is Ernst Arnold Egli. The building was used as the School of Music Teachers between 1924-1938 and as the Ankara State Conservatory between 1938-1985. It can be considered as one of the first examples of the Second National Architecture Movement.
