Macahel İremit Pansiyon - Maral köyü İremit Mahallesi No4 Borçka/Artvin

We stayed 2 nights. The rooms were quite clean, the view of the house is very nice. The meals are delicious. After dinner, dessert and tea and coffee were served (laz pastry and rice pudding). In addition, tea, Turkish coffee and Nescafe were offered more than once during the day. The breakfast was rich, besides home-made jam and cheese varieties, there were eggs with cheese and muhlama as hot. It should be noted that muhlama was always extra in other hotels we stayed in during our Black Sea tour. We left satisfied. If we ever go to Artvin again, our only choice would be İremit.

We came here for 2 days as the last stop of our Black Sea trip. First of all, if we talk about the positive aspects, the view of the house is very nice. There are many varieties of cheese for breakfast and handmade. As for the negative aspects; The interest and relevance to the guests are weak, and they show more interest to those who come for the day with tours. The rooms are very cold (in August) and there is no heating. First of all, you can't get enough of breakfast because the variety is scarce (except cheese). The dinner is a tasting plate, in the middle, around a bulgur pilaf, 4 different cold dishes with a total of 4 spoons. Lunch is paid and just like dinner. Too expensive. You fill your stomach with bread. If there are those who come with a sweet tour, they are given. Breakfast and meals are mostly based on savings. Tea is free but of poor quality. Most importantly, the interest and relevance of a place in the full trades mode is weak. I do not recommend. It is a well-known place, but as I said, they are in full trades mode. Maybe it used to be better but this is the situation now

We've waited for reviews since our visit. Now we realize that whatever we say will be incomplete. We arrived after a tiring journey and your tiredness vanished when we took our first step. A great family business. It has been brought to tourism by restoring a wooden house inherited from the family. While doing this, no concessions were made from classical architecture, lifestyle and local tastes. Not only the rooms, but the whole house and its surroundings were immaculate down to the smallest detail - you could not even see a speck of dust or a water drop. We had dinner and breakfast, it was delicious. It has a wonderful view that surrounds you and the sun rises into your heart. We would be incomplete if we weren't there. Many thanks to Sevda, Mevlüt and their smiling daughters. If you're going with a group, of course, agents make a lot of things easy and automate for you, but in doing so they mechanize the experience. If you can, book directly. Reach out yourself, get environmental suggestions from the family and evaluate them.

We found it by chance while looking for a place to eat and we had just eaten before staying. Their food was very delicious (I think it was Georgian food), there was enough food to fill the stomach and it was affordable for that meal. The owners of the place were also very helpful and interested. They even collected fruit from the tree and gave it to us :) They were also selling Macahel's chestnut honey, we bought it from him and it turned out very well.
