★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Up in the mountains above the town of Manavgat is the Old ruined city of Lyrbe.
Quite a bit still remains of the buildings.
Lots to walk around so you will be up here a while. There is some parking available about a hundred yards from the remains of the old city gate.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you liked the Ancient ruins of Side, Lyrbe is a great destination to visit (especially if you want to avoid other tourists). It is off the beaten path and often deserted. You can walk or take the car there (or ask a local tour guide to take you). I'd recommend doing a Google search for the history of this site. Say hello to the lizards for me...
