Letoon Private Hospital

Went to see Doctor Mert Keskinbora today, an orthopaedic surgeon regarding problems with my feet, how kind and sympathetic he is recommending a conservative approach to my problem. Very professional, caring and speaks English too, a relief for me knowing he is there to help. Thanks Doctor Mert :)

I giving 2 stars for the only nurse who could speak English and once you got to know she was very helpful. My daughter was admitted to this hospital for 3days after visiting a local doctor who diagnosed Gastroenteritis. Except for the one nurse we were met by a wall of silence I was sick of asking for information to be told " no speak english". We have been holidaying in Turkey for the last 17years and never before had any problems communicating. After several tests including Ultrasound, MRI, blood , infusions, antibiotics drips and even being told she had possible appendicitis three days later confirmed the original doctors diagnosis. All paid for by holiday insurance of course. During her 3 days my daughter was not given a gown to wear and on her first night had to sleep in her day clothes. I had to leave her and go back to the hotel 25minutes away by taxis to collect pyjamas to make her more comfortable. Her bed was not made or changed during her stay. Food was inedible and drinks had to be bought as they are not supplied not even water.

We had to take a break of our vacation and get an ambulance to the hospital early in the morning. Despite it was a holiday, the service was very good. Communication (in English) was no problem. The doctors took their time to take care of the patient and made sure that everything is fine. Due to the fact that there is an own department for tourist and our travel insurance, the payment process was quick and easy.

Don’t go here. If you are a visitor that will charge you 85 euros just for consultation. That is not right. I went to Fethiye State Hospital Fethiye Devlet Hastanesi. I was able to see the doctor, have a translator, get xrays, and get medicine for 350 lira. That is 40 USD. Much much better than this place. Please avoid going to this money pit. Trust me, all the reviews that are good got this place are probably fake. AVOID!!!!!!!!!

If you are in need of medical assistance, don’t even think about going to this hospital. I kept getting panic attacks during my trips, and none of the hospitals would let me see a dr. But this hospital in particular was the worst. I asked for a medication to help calm my panic attacks down. They gave me saline, through an IV. They did not help me at all. There isn’t anyone you can even complain to, because no one in the entire hospital speaks any other language other than turkish.

I do NOT recommend this hospital!!!! You can call whatever BUT hospital ! I had PCR test and its been 10 hours still awaiting for the result So I tried to call and visit hospital to ask my result nobody I found Frustrating DONT GO THERE

We went to this hospital on 21st Oct 2021 for PCR test, they told us we would get results with in 24 hours 49 hours later both me and my wife have received nothing on email or text??? No results at all?? We both paid and wrote our email and numbers very clearly and had been confirmed that they can clearly read the We are going today again to get a refund of our money.. dont use this place!

The experience of a Canadian tourist in Fethiye, Mugla, Turkey. I slipped on ice in a mountain village while touring ruins. Shattered my knee. My Travel Insurance company verbally suggested the Letoon Hospital as a reputable medical facility in my area. The Letoon Hospital Tourism department (English speaking hospital Team) co-ordinated with my Travel Insurance company and got written approval for the surgery I required prior to the surgery. This was a huge relief! Then the surgeon, Doctor Mehmet Hakan went to work on my Knee. Doctor Hakan, and his assistant and the anesthesiologist all spoke English as well. They took good care of me while I was in hospital, and followed through with the Nursing staff with the specific instructions that I required for my surgery and my recovery. I am very thankful for the personal care I received from the Tourism department and the Doctors. They certainly helped my distressing situation to be alot less stressful.
