★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you visited Hearapolis you should visit this place also. It is right accross to Hierapolis and it is magnificient. It is very active archealogical place and findings are exibited all over the place. There is no enterence fee unlike Hierapolis.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Gratitude and blessings to the government Turkey, private sponsors and archeologists for the wonderful labor of love here. ..and Yunus, our guide who made the footsteps of St Paul and Bible come alive...
and to see what John must have seen and decried in this once rich place.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Second time (after 2001) I visited Laodicea in 2010 and was deeply disappointed with the restoration-works, reconstruction, modernization and commercialization of this site. The original character is definitely lost! So pity!
My suggestion (in book "Seven Golden Lampstands") was keeping those ruins (as in 2001) as they were, but building a model next to them, encased, possibly with panzer glass! Perhaps, it could be a pavilion with the most probable reconstruction; even an animation of such a place, for example in a scale of 1:50, like Disneyland, Legoland and other “lands”.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It is a very vast area under the sun. It was one of the most important historical city of that time and the discovery process is still on. Hot and hot so bring your umbrellas and lots of water.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's a really big place. Normally it would take 1 hour to visit everything if you are swift and selective. Usually the sun is unexpectedly higher, so carry an umbrella or cap. Don't be lazy in carrying a water bottle with you. People utilising public transportation can get a (dolmus) mini bus from denizli bus station. And it's just 10-12 kilometres from pamukkale.
Things to keep in mind.
1. If you have museum card, entry is free.
2. Toilets are good and clean.
3. If you don't have personal transportation you would have to walk 2 kilometres extra as it is an interior place.
4. Not everything is original. Some stuffs are artificial and under construction.
5. There's a small shop to buy snacks and some decoration stuff, so carry some extra money ☺.
Thanks. Have wonderful time.
God bless you.
