"KUZGUNCUK" is a very special neighborhood where you can visit with the feeling that you are in a different world, preserves its historical past and is located on the Anatolian side of Istanbul. It is possible to spend pleasant hours in Kuzguncuk without knowing how the day goes.

It is on Çarşı Street in Kuzguncuk. It is one of the two Armenian churches with a dome that can be seen from the outside, built during the Ottoman period. The presence of Kuzguncuk Çarşı Mosque next to it and the silhouette of the mosque and the church appearing together give the building a separate identity as a friendship monument. The first construction of the church was during the reign of Patriarch İsdepanos Zakaryan Aghavni (1831-1839). The church, which was opened for worship on May 11, 1835, underwent a major repair according to the permission given by the edict of March 4, 1861. The last repair of the building was in 1967. The building was built as a mixture of rubble stone and brick beam in the east-west direction in the T/Greek cross plan. Its architect is Hovhannes Amira Serveryan. The bell tower in the east is covered with a dome like a church, and the first floor consists of arched windows, the second floor consists of four columns sitting next to four pillars.
