I have been to hell and back in this place. The beach is too windy or too hot. There are no safety measures. It is ridiculously expensive they should be ashamed what do they think they are doing... The service was awful and the food was mediocre at best and sickeningly dreadful at worst. I have never seen such a foul place. Shame on them. Note: after further reflection, I have come to the decision that it wasn’t TERRIBLE.

Rooms are excellent, large and modern. Location is good. Beach club is good. All top tier. Now - let’s talk about the problem. Whoever runs food and beverage should be fired. Not just regular fired, they should get a lifetime ban from the hospitality industry. The service is atrocious. Silly rules (no hot beverages brought to room service), total confusion (ordering continental breakfast results in a Turkish breakfast), staff who are endlessly confused is just the start. The staff at the beach club seem as if this is their first day on the job. Endlessly wandering about, it’s impossible to get service quickly, simple requests ((say to get serving spoons for shared dishes) take 10 minutes to get resolved and have to be repeated. The beverage director should resign in shame as their best wines are all “wine finish”. How can your most expensive bottles of rose be finished? You are losing money! How does this not result in your team getting fired? Finally - the shocked confusion of the staff when you do put an order in, quickly followed by laziness and forgetfulness, makes you just realize they are hopeless. They need a training program right away.

People are very friendly, hospital and supportive. Foods are delicious, tastes good and smell good. The view is fantastic. Location was very nice. It was really worrh to fly from Luxembourg to here even for a weekend. Thanks to personal and the team especially Özgür Bey for warm welcome, Enes Bey for great foods, Sevcan hanım for great service and the rest of the team.

To keep it short: I stayed here at Kuum for one week with my husband and we had an amazing incredible holiday in June 2021. We’ve been at Kuum Hotel for the first time and stayed at Room 59. The two ladies from the housekeeping team were just gorgeous and help you with everything you might need (e.g. extra towels). We loved the warm welcome of the courteous and heplful employees and room service. Our room was really spacious (60m2), huge balcony with amazing sea view, comfortable huge bed and good organized bathroom with regular necessary items. You can find a medium size safe in the dressing area/room. We had small issues with the wifi but the staff helped us out and they installed a special wifi router for our room - great service again?? The hotel is at a very unique spot and not surrounded by any other hotel or restaurant. So it offers a great deal of privacy. At the same time the concept of the hotel offers a very nice ambience and just purely good vibes. Very spacious beach club with several possibilities to enter the sea. Amazing turkish breakfast (serpme kahvalti) + eggs freshly cooked to order (benedict, fried, etc.) was served (which was really comfortable) and really delicious. All employees at restaurant, beach and bar are super friendly and communicative- especially Hakan and Özgür bey regularly asked how we are doing and if they can do anything for us. Hakan was kind of coordinating the breakfast team and was very hospitable and just perfectly manages the breakfast area. The same applies to Özgür who is managing the complete bar beach and restaurant are with his motivated team. As a guest you simply feel that the entire team does everything to make the guest feel like beeing home. We really felt safe and in good hands. We will definitely come back to Kuum. Serious Cons: - Our room did not have hot water for 5 days. We asked about it every day with no results. Finally on day 5 we sat in the hotel lobby until it got fixed and ended up with lukewarm water. - No WiFi for three days. Took 3 days of asking before they got us a router. - When we asked to speak to a manager about the issues we were told both the general manager and the "boss" were away. I asked to speak to either on the phone and was told I could not and that I should email him. When I asked again to speak to him on the phone about the hot water and WiFi I was told he does not speak English. - The hotel costs $500 per room, per night. Again, no hot water. - They require full payment upfront as well as a deposit for any room charges and do not give receipts for meals at the hotel restaurant, making it difficult to know if bills are accurate. Nitpicky Cons: - Part of the path to the main hotel restaurant always smells like sewage. - They do not have or cannot make everything on the menu, for example we ordered a Mai Tai and they were not able to make it. - The Japanese restaurant is not good. I know tastes vary by region but the sushi rice was not made properly, the fish looked like it had been sitting out for a long time and did not have any sheen, and the fried rice was awful. I know you don't go to Turkey for the Japanese food, but again, $500 a night. - The cocktails they can make are very poor quality. There is an independent restaurant on the property, and while a sea bass there cost us $125 and a single red mullet cost us $25, their cocktails were great. I don't understand why the hotel can't make a decent drink 150ft away at the hotel's bar. That independent restaurant's appetizers weren't as crazy expensive to be fair. Go there for the appetizers and drinks, stay for the Egyptian statues and glass floor over the ocean. - The endless loud house music everywhere gets old but that's a matter of personal preference. Pros: - The main hotel restaurant's food is not bad. If you are stuck here, try the seabass ceviche and grilled seabass, they are good. Overall, I cannot recommend it due to the lack of hot water, WiFi, the effort required to get them to fix those issues, and the price. There are plenty of other hotels, try somewhere else.

Awoken the first morning to the sound of water pouring down from the ceiling from the unit above. Wi-fi was unreliable throughout our stay. Spoke to other travelers in the area- no problems with internet at other hotels. Desk staff was obnoxious. Japanese restaurant on premise needs an overhaul. Mai Tais have almond syrup- orzata- not bits of almond nuts in the bottom of the glass. Crazy. The fried rice was horrible. Sushi- not so fresh. Visited some other hotels in the area- take your pick. You'll be happy you took a pass on Kuum.
