★ ★ ★ ★ ★ At the end of Cumhuriyet Street is the Kütahya Great Mosque (Kütahya Ulu Camii), also known as the Yıldırım Beyazıt Han Mosque (Yıldırım Beyazıt Han Camii). This grand mosque was built between 1381 and 1410 under Sultan Beyazıt I and renovated in 1893 by Abdülhamit II. I consider it to be one of the most beautiful of the lesser-known mosques in Turkey.
