★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I visited in winter. Stunning area with information in Turkish and English. Lots to look around and the scenery is spectacular right on the coast. Worth a visit. I visited in January so must look even more beautiful in the Summer. Car park opposite (need to pay but very reasonable and convenient or you will have quite a walk)

It is also known as the “Pirate castle” because of its presence on the coast to prevent the attacks from the sea. The castle belongs to the Ottoman era and presents the best mixture of culture and nature at the same time. Kusadasi castle is adjacent to different swimming beaches and surrounded by the awe-inspiring, romantic and spectacular panoramic views. The castle includes a small museum, restaurant with disco for the entertainment of couples and other visitors.
you can spend 1-2 hours to look all around this castle and surrounding beaches. dont forget to have fish and chips in one of the nearby restaurants.
