Koyunoglu City Museum and Library

Konya's first private museum. Ahmet Rasih Izzet Koyunoglu donated his personal collection of historical artifacts and library to Konya Municipality. According to the modern museology of the municipality, İzzet expropriated the environment of his home and built a 2-storey L-shaped building with a garden. Then he restored his father's house and opened a visit as a "historical Konya house", the house at the western end of the museum's garden. İzzet Bey, who was the director of the museum, died in 1974. Rest in peace. The building is like 4 sections. At the entrance there is a gallery for the exhibition on the left. Archeological artifacts were exhibited on the right. The upper floor is mainly ethnographically arranged. On the west side of the upper floor there is a library. The library is very rich including writing works (started with 3500, the number of books that are said to have reached 30 thousand). Already 2 different people (Selçuk Es and Mustafa Parlaktürk) have been donated to the library here. In addition, Konya is said to be the archive of all the press publication. It also has a conference left for 150 people. Konya Ethnography Museum remains in tears next to this place. place; The 3s across the Mevlana Museum is behind the cemetery. There is a parking lot for 6-7 cars in front of the museum. Entrance is free. Closed on Sundays. It is recommended.
