Koycegiz Dogs in Turkey

We recently adopted a dog from Koycegiz and we are so happy with him. Considering the time he was at the shelter he is the most loving, well behaved dog. The process was fairly smooth, though sometimes I wished there were more communication, but I know this is because they have so many dogs to look after and never enough staff! Overall I am so pleased we used them and would recommend them

I recently adopted a dog from Koycegis and can honestly say they were the absolutely best choice for this. Despite having spent years living in a shelter and who knows what had happened to her before she is the most lovely dog. The level of affection she displays, the fact she loves people and other dogs and even her weight is a testament to how she has been looked after and interacted with, as so many dogs come out of shelters with behavioural issues and are skin and bones. The shelter were very responsive to all requests for information and even sent regular videos of her. I wouldn't hesitate to adopt from them again.

We decided to rescue one dog from Koycegiz but ended up adopting two dogs! Koycegiz have been brilliant to deal with, honest, helpful & go above & beyond to help you get a dog best suited to you. I liked the fact they were thorough in the adoption process, we had to complete an application form, have a telephone interview, send a video of inside & outside of our home & also photos of places we were going to walk the dogs. This proves to me that they want to ensure that the dogs go to appropriate & loving homes. This is so much better than some rescues abroad, who you fill in a form & then have a dog suitable or not within 2 weeks, at your home! During the standard 4 month wait the dogs had all the necessary blood tests, injections, spade & microchipped. We also received photos, videos & updates on how they were doing. When it came to transporting them to us again we received good communication during the whole process. There is support & advice once you have the dogs, if needed. We are absolutely adore our 2 dogs, who are so loving, trusting, laid back & make us smile every day. We feel that we've had them longer than we have, as they have settled in so well & are well & truly part of the family. Everyone loves them & we get many lovely comments when we are out with them, down to people trying to.persuade us to part with them as they would loveto have them, of course that's never going to happen but it's nice to know they are so well thought of. I always recommend Koycegiz Dog Rescue when people express an interest in getting a rescue dog, as our experience has been very positive. We can't thank them enough for the love, care & tirelessly hardwork they all put in to ensure all dogs are saved, from the most awful stories, are off the streets & are kept safe until a loving home is found for them, thank you so very, very much ?

This is such an amazing charity the staff work so hard to look after these dear animals. They devote their lives to help finding dogs loving and caring homes. Adopted the amazing Tarcin from them a month ago she is a credit to the wonderful care they provide. I thoroughly recommend Koycegiz dog shelter to anyone wanted to adopt from abroad you wont be disappointed ❤

It is now 8 weeks since our beautiful dog Cocoa arrived. She has settled in and is now enjoying being part of our family which is most definitely a two way feeling. We were both pleased and happy with the very thorough 'adoption' process which ensured Cocoa was being put into a family who would give her all she needed. The help, advice and updates were always a message away. the process was explained well, and proved to be quite simple. All costs were talked through (never added to or hidden) and were very reasonable we have to say. Her journey seemed to take forever but really it didn't. Anne and I can only say a massive thank you to the shelter and the staff who are doing, and have done, an amazing job in extremely hard circumstances and all for the benefit of these dogs and the families who are being blessed with them.

I can never thank the people looking after the shelter and the dogs enough for what they do on a daily basis, for their devotion and commitment! The sign of all this is seen in Rambo the dog I adopted: perfectly at ease with human beings and very good in behavior because despite his 8 years in a shelter he was so loved. Immediately after deciding to adopt Rambo, the lockdown started, in the months of waiting the workers and volunteer of the shelter always kept us informed and sent videos of the dog ... At the end they found out the best conditions for the dogs to travel and get them all around Europe. I couldn't recommend it more!

We rescued our beautiful dog from this shelter. Everyone was so helpful, sending us photos and videos to help our decision and describing her temperament etc. The process was simple and explained well, very reasonable cost to cover the process and they arranged to bring her right to our front door in the UK. I would 100% recommend them. We love our beautiful Dotty.

We adopted our girl from the shelter, July 2018 and she is such a lovely dog , we are always saying how lucky we are to be her guardian, photo one shows her with another dog from the shelter that lives in the same village. The process was very simple and they were very upfront with costs and time it would take. She had been in the shelter for 6 years and we are so happy to give her a loving home and a sofa to share with us, she has been so good with our older jack and actually loves people. This shelter does such a good job in extremely hard circumstances, this is a charity that I will continue to support any donations sent go to the dogs, they have no over paid CEO here.
