Kiteboard Gokova - Akcapinar Kitebeach

It is my first water sport,,Trying kiteboard was fun,Praying everything will be back to normal, hoping this season I can practice more...

Water is warm and wind is light and steady. Direct on shore combined with a plethora of beginners makes getting up wind a challenge, so many kites and 12 to avoid! Once out of the mine field it's great. South end of bay has stronger wind. Water is cold if you kite by the creek mouth. People are cool and friendly, staff is there to help launch/land. Oh there's lockers and showers!!! Score! Would be 5 star if the locals would regulate how many lessons are going at one time. The area is too crowded for experienced riders to make it up wind. Should be a limit or designated area for beginners.

The best location for kite from entire Europe! The wind and the services are perfect! You can find accomodations near in Akyaka, 10 min driving. You can buy the beverages only with a nfc wristband, that you receive at the entrance. The prices are a little bit higher that the usual in Turkey but still acceptable for other europeans. You can park the car near the entrace.

The spot is nice, wind is perfect. But you have to pay 100 TL (as I've been told for parking) to kite there and there are a lot of newbies and traffic closed to shore is so bad.

Great place for kitesurfing in Turkey. Flat water, wave, shallow and deep water. It's a private beach so you have to pay a to be allowed to go kitesurfing. You get 50 percentage back when you order a drink at the bar. Parking is free. You need flip flops to get from your car to the beach. At the beach you have sand. All schools have a compressor to pump up you kite. The place is full off friendly people to help you start and land your kite. The lessons are in shallow water. Make store you know the the Wright off way. It can be a bit crowded sometimes.

I highly recommend this wonderful team and school. Here is why to do so- from the first moment that I stepped in to the school, instructors welcomed me like a family member and introduced the daily agenda made me familiar with the concept and assured me that the day will match with my expectations or needs to improve the kitesurf skills. Huseyin and Tugce are managing the school and they are always making sure that everyone is comfortable with the ambiance and learning! Most of the time when you go to a school as such, due to the unfamiliarity you might feel stranger and have difficulty to adapt their style. In kiteboard gokova, it is not the case. My instructor Gurkan, an exceptional coach and a great menthor for kitesurf, introducing the technique is one thing and observing the student giving the customized corrections and mentoring is another level of teaching. For 2 days of intense courses I must say, I managed to control the kite, stand up on the board and even skated on the board with kite power couple of times. Gurkan is a professional, friendly and a perfect coach that asks to-the-point questions that made me aware of my fears and barreers that pulled me back at the beginning. Hence, we had a very efficient 2 days course for the establishment of the base.
