This is a place with a history. The waiter who served us was here seven years ago when I last checked in. Food is traditional Turkish fare and is excellent. You would be hard pressed to find such quality in Istanbul, let alone Bodrum. Nothing wrong there... So then... What's the problem? I don't mind paying top dollar for good food. Even so, Kismet's gotten ridiculously expensive. In my opinion, it no longer represents value for money. Another issue is availability. If you come around noon, it's hard to get a table. After 3.00 PM, the lunch crowd leaves and seating is much more relaxed. Yet, that's also when the most popular dishes run out and the remaining choices are limited. Your best bet would be to show up before noon. Do keep in mind that they close at 6.00 PM and do not serve alcohol - neither of which is unusual for the kind of restaurant Kismet is.

Service was confusing you would orddr at the counter the.n wait half hour for the Waiter to bring your food that is already prepared and then you need to pay at the front where they have no idea what you ordered and try to charge you for another tables food that was twice our bill. The food was poor quality. They didn't even bother to clean the watercress and served it with the hard stems when only the leaves are to be used in this particular dish. The bread was so hard that we couldn't even tear it into 2 pieces. Not good at all we had to go out to eat at another place after.

Kismet is always good and has been our favorite since many years. We love the local food they make. Very good service and reasonable prices.

Great local restaurant. Everything we had was very tasty. They have buffet style cold and warm food options. You can make your own plate and mix multiple meze’s. Local place with a very casual setting. Service was good. Its good for a quick lunch.

I've been to many restaurants on this planet, but KISMET is absolutely one of the best! And it is the BEST for Turkish food! Excellent service, fresh, home made, high quality ingredients, organic and very, very, very tasty. My absolute most favourite Turkish restaurant. I've known this restaurant now for about 12 years, the standards and good food and low prices never have changed. Excellent! I love it!
