Ahırtaş mevkiine yaklaşıldığında yol kenarında görülen lahit kalıntılarından kent tanınır. Kentin ismi 1996 yılında yapılan bir yüzey araştırmasında burada bulunan bir yazıtta okunmuştur. Kenti asimetrik taşlardan yapılmış bir sur duvarı kuzeyden korumaktadır. Kentin içinde güney yamacına doğru kesme taşlardan yapılmış resmi nitelikli olduğu anlaşılan yapı kalıntıları yer almaktadır. Bu yapıların altında çeşitli lahitler bulunmaktadır. Kente kuzeyden girişte lentosunda fallus kazınmış dört duvarı ayakta bir yapı yer almaktadır. Kentin en önemli binasını Kelbessos yazısının okunduğu kaidenin bulunduğu taş kalıntıların bulunduğu alan oluşturmaktadır. Kent içinde bir sarnıç ve kuzey surlarına bitişik olarak yapılmış, alışverişe yönelik yapı kalıntıları yer almaktadır. Kentin kuzey suruna bitişik yapılan yapılarda zaman zaman ana kayadan yararlanmış olunduğu görülmektedir. Ayrıca kayaya oygu (Hyposorion) tipi mezarlar da bulunmaktadır. Kelbessos, Termessos’a bağlı üç büyük kentten biridir. Bu nedenle Termessos’la aynı tarihi çizgide olduğunu düşünülmektedir. Kelbessos Ancient City: It is located within the boundaries of Konyaaltı, Antalya. When the Ahırtaş locality is approached, the city is recognized by the ruins of the sarcophagus. The name of the city was read in an inscription found here in 1996. The city protects a fortification wall made of asymmetric stones from the north. In the city there are remains of the building which are officially made from cut stones on the southern slope. There are several sarcophagi under these structures. In the entrance to the city from the north, there is a structure standing on four walls of the phallus engraved in its lintel. The most important building of the city is the area where the stone remains, where the pedestal where Kelbessos's script is read, is located. Within the city, there is a cistern and the ruins of a building built adjacent to the north walls. It is seen that the main rock is used in the structures adjacent to the north wall of the city. There are also grave tombs (Hyposorion). Kelbessos is one of the three big cities of Termessos. Therefore, it is thought to be in the same historical line with Termessos.

Bölgede çok fazla sayıda mezar ve kült bulunması çok dikkat çekicidir. Mezar yapılarının işlemeleri ve doğal şartlarla yıpranmış olmaları göze çarpmakta. I was here on 15 July 2018. It is an ancient city that houses the cult and temple of Artemis Kelbessis. Many grave structures stand out in the Kelbessos region. The discovery of these structures brought the view of the archaeolags and scientists who examined the region that Kelbessos could be a cult center. It is very interesting that there are many graves and cults in the region. It is striking that the tomb structures are handled and weathered under natural conditions.
