★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Merkezin temel amacı, Kayseri'nin sosyal ve kültürel hayatı, tarihi, demografik yapısı ve ekonomisi hakkında yayınlanmış/yayınlanacak yazılı, görsel ve işitsel eserleri ve istatistiki verileri toplayıp arşivlemektir.
Merkez bünyesinde, Kayseri ihtisas kütüphanesi, Kayseri istatistiki veri bankası, Kayseri görsel ve işitsel arşivi kurulmuştur.

Ayrıca 14 Ekim 2016 tarihinde "Kayseri Görsel ve İşitsel Arşivi Oluşturma Protokolü" nün imzalanmasıyla Kayseri Büyükşehir Belediyesi ile bu alanda işbirliğine gidilmiştir.
Merkez, Erciyes Üniversitesi İktisadi ve İdari Bilimler Fakültesi, s blok zemin katta faaliyetlerini sürdürmektedir.
 The main purpose of the center is to collect and archive written, visual and auditory works and statistical data about the social and cultural life, history, demographic structure and economy of Kayseri.
Within the center, Kayseri specialized library, Kayseri statistical database, Kayseri audio and visual archive were established.

Kayseri Chamber of Industry.
In addition, on 14 October 2016, Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality was cooperated with the signing of the "Protocol on Establishment of Kayseri Audio-Visual Archive".
The Center continues its activities on the ground floor of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences of Erciyes University.
