Totally worth a visit. You get to learn a lot of things, and see how people get to make this marvelous city without great tools or technology. Very good visit.

I had only been to Derinkuyu before, which I’d heard was the larger of the two. I did not expect the impressive modern entrance at Kaymakli or extensive ness of Kaymakli’s labyrinthine passages. The lighting was better at Kaymakli too. Definitely worth visiting, even if you’ve been to Derinkuyu.

So nice to see how people used to live here thousands of years ago. It is just like Derinkayu but is less popular. A must visit if you are near that region. It is a little less user friendly though, definitely not for old people and physically challenged. You have to literally walk while squating at some sections because the height is so low. My thighs were hurting the next day.

Really cool underground city - a must see. However, if you have breathing problems like Asthma, have high blood pressure or claustrophobia this place can be dangerous for you. You’d better get a rental car or a tour to get there - Kaymakli is a small town that is not touristic at all except this place.

Interesting, magnificant must-see underground city in Kaymakli. The city was founded about 1400-1450 B.C. It has 8 layers but only 4 layers are open to public visitation.

One of the most informative and astonishing places I have ever visited in my life. Our tour guide was good enough to explain us the history of this place. The knowledge we gained was amazing. Good place to explore to know about how the people at that time used to live and survive. Must recommended. @WaSalicious Food and Travel.
