★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Cami şehir surlarının dışında, kırkkardeşler yolu güzergâhında yer almaktadır. H.990-miladi 1582 tarihinde Malatya miralayı Hüsrev Bey tarafından yaptırılmıştır. Minare kaidesinde bulunan kitabede, caminin 1587 tarihinde imar edildiği yazılıdır. Caminin içerisinde bulunan 1898 tarihli onarım kitabesinde “ey rahi, işte mescid, vakti zayi eyleme bu mahalle mescidi eyledi. Bünyan kıl namazı, et niyazı mescidi hor eyleme iki alemde ruhları ola sad olma pahıl eyle ihsan canı efnaeylemeşefi ola kıymette Muhammet kıl, tevekkül, eyle canım, işte ta’cil eyleme ki cennette refik ola Muhammed işte tarih ekle canım, işte ta’cil eyleme ketebe el hac Mahmut sene; 1316 yazısı bulunmaktadır. Karahan camiinde, bir adet h.1329 tarihli sancak bulunmaktadır. Vakıflar Bölge Müdürlüğü tarafından 2011 yılında restorasyon yapılmaya başlanmıştır.
The mosque is located outside the city walls on the route of the fortresses. H.990-Gregorian Malatya heritage was built in 1582 by Hüsrev Bey. The inscription on the base of the minaret states that the mosque was built in 1587. In the repair inscription of the mosque dated 1898, “O rahi, there is a masjid, this neighborhood masjid time to action. We wanted to visit the mosque but the time was closed outside the prayer. We can't see it, unfortunately.
