Surrounded by forests, Karagöl has rare landscape beauties. In addition, there are areas with grass ski slope quality in and around Bagat locality in the northeast of the lake. Sahara Plateau has a geological structure consisting of the cover basalts of the region in general. Tertiary terrain occurs where the cover basalts are stripped. The slope values ​​are quite high in the region, which is fragmented by deep valleys in places. Sahara is one of the limited plains located at 1700-1800 m. on this sloping land. The forest cover is composed of spruce and firs, and scotch pine is also found in the lower zones. In the region, anthropogenic steppe areas cover large areas. There are plant species belonging to the alpine zone in and around Kocabey plateau. The plains, which are gradually located at 1700-1800 meters by the Laşet Stream, are also the field where "Sahara Beetroot Festival" is held. Local people living outside the district participate in these festivals and contribute to the region in terms of domestic tourism. In 1994, 3766 hectares of the site was included in the scope of the National Park in order to preserve this recreational potential and natural beauties of the site. In the Karagöl part of the National Park, there is a facility that is used as a rural casino and provides accommodation with 12 beds.
