Bununla beraber Kara Mustafa Paşa tarafından yaptırıldığı söyleniyorsa da bunu kanıtlayacak bir belgeye rastlanmamıştır.Yapı üslubundan XVII.yüzyılda yapıldığı sanılmaktadır. Cami 1854 yılında onarılmıştır.
Moloz taştan yapılmış olan caminin üzeri ahşap tavan ve çatı ile örtülüdür. Alçı mihrabı oldukça zengin mukarnaslarla bezenmiştir. Onarımlar nedeni ile orijinalliğinden uzaklaşmış olup, bir özellik taşımamaktadır.
Kastamonu Taşköprü in the center of this mosque does not have an inscription and who is made by the unknown. Although it is said that Kara Mustafa Pasha was built by him, no document was found to prove this. It is thought that it was built in XVII century. The mosque was renovated in 1854.
The mosque, which is made of rubble stone, is covered with wooden ceiling and roof. The gypsum mihrab is decorated with very rich muqarnas. Due to the repairs, it has moved away from its originality and it is not a feature.
