Kapadokya Kaya Balloons (Headquarters)

We had reservations for 5 people but Kaya Baloons cancelled it the night before our flight. The price was 180 Euros per person but the price on the street we heard was up to 270 Euros. So just for a few more money, they will cancel your reservation also.

After an impromptu trip to Cappadocia, we were lucky to get a last minute booking (day before) for our balloon ride with Kapadokya Kaya. Our hotel was able to get the booking albeit with a lot of difficulty because of the peak season. We went in for the standard flight with >20 peeps on the ride. We got ample opportunity to click photos, enjoy the incredible views, all without being too cramped. And I feel that 1 hour was enough as the peak excitement wears off after the first 30 mins. So, people thinking of spending a bit extra on deluxe flights, please take that into consideration. I must say say that most hot air balloons followed a similar route and elevation. There were some which went almost twice the height of our balloon and some which stayed below ours. On an average we were in the 200-500m elevation during the flight as were most other balloons. Some advice for people: - book the ride in advance, don’t leave it for the last minute in peak season - try and fly on your first day in Cappadocia as ballon rides can get cancelled due to weather - if you can’t book online, try and speak to your hotel concierge to arrange

Irresponsable with Covid measures. None of the staff wears the mask. None of the rest of customers does it neither. And of course they don't care. They make you sign a document, and once the document is signed, they fill it out themselves with fake information, like your body temperature, but they never check it. That's illegal.

Very bad experiencie. We (some friends and myself) hire the balloon tour at Get Your Guide. That day we all attended the transfer bus, however one of my friends felt sick so he has to take off the bus to go back to the hotel. After contacting the company, to explain them the situation, as their driver could confirm it, however the insist us it was a non show up. After several messages and phone calls they did not let us do the tour another day (our first option as we had two more days in Göreme) neither refund the money we paid. So we do paid for nothing, after the company confirmed to us they knew my friend got sick after taking their transfer.

They have changed our prices two times because of the demand. The demand raised in time so they charged extra 50$ after the reservation and or you could wait another day for 150$. The flight was very good but because of unprofessional behaviour after the reservation for all of us (8 people) was very frustrating.

Very bad experience with customer service. I had a balloon trip with them. On the day of the flight I attended the pick up at the bus, but I was very sick. I spoke to the driver and informed him of my bad condition. I couldn't do it. So I had to get off the bus and go back to my hotel. The next day, when I was somewhat recovered, I talked to them about flying in the following days when they had a free slot. They flatly refused. They had not the slightest interest in my health problem. They would not allow me to fly any other day, nor have they agreed to refund my money. I have not flown, nor have they refunded my money. There are many other companies in Cappadocia that offer balloon flights. I advise you to do it better with another one. Kaya Balloons has no interest in their customers.

It was very memorable day for us... they were very professional

We booked the hot air balloon ride with them. They were a little bit late to pick us up but it was OK. The balloon ride was amazing and they were very professional and friendly. The balloon basket holds around 20 people in general. We watched the heating of the air and start up of the balloon. Then we were up in the air very high overlooking the valleys of Cappadocia and we watched dawn while in the balloon which was wonderful. At the end, they gave us a certificate for riding the balloon. The balloon ride is a must when in Cappadocia. You just need to know that you need to climb and jump to get in and out of the basket. So dress in very comfortable clothes with minimum personal belongings with you as the space is limited in the basket.
